About
I am a Panamanian-American illustrator inspired by the nature around me, as well as the culture I grew up with. When painting animals, I exaggerate poses, distort the form and add playful humanlike characteristics. I enjoy telling stories through illustration and currently working on writing projects of my own.
In 2019, I graduated from Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts with an Illustration BFA in just three years. Although I have experience with different types of media, I prefer to use a combination of watercolor and gouache.
Endangered Animal Awareness
Through my painting of endangered species, I have not only raised awareness of these animals but have also been able to donate to charity. In 2022, I joined Extinction Rebellion and a group of other artists in a pop up art show titled "Art Rising: Artists Explore Climate Chaos".
Being able to make an impact is important to me as a Panamanian. The national animal of Panama, the golden frog, no longer exists in the wild due to climate change, deforestation, and the introduction of foreign fungus.
